Raw Feeding French Bulldogs
We are very careful about our French Bulldogs' nutrition. In spite of having always used the best brands of dog Kibble available in the past (always the super premium kind), we always thought that our dogs could eat better, healthier and even enjoy their meals much more. Furthermore, frequent cases of dogs suffering from numerous health issues due to kibble contamination made us even more eager to give our dogs' nutrition a new direction. So back in 2008, we started looking for a kibble replacement that would be healthier and more appealing to our Frenchies' "gourmet tastes". Instead, we met BARF and Raw Feeding in general.
The raw diet consists in basically offering raw food, raw meaty bones and other kinds of food like vegetables, fruit, eggs and fish, creating a well balanced and biologically responsible diet.
The result is amazing. Since back then, we have been seeing:
- Naturally clean teeth without any needs of toothbrushes or surgeries.
- Less stool volume and smell. Stool is now firm and almost odourless.
- Shinier coat and reduced shedding.
- "Doggy odour" reduced.
- Joyful and healthy dogs waiting enthusiastically for their meal time, especially dogs that were very picky eaters before.
